Over the course of the last few years, there has been one word that has dominated the gaming scene – Cyberpunk. Whether that be CD Projekt Red’s blockbusting open world of Cyberpunk 2077, or the slew of smaller titles that have arrived on the back of it, it’s something that has raised the interest in many. There’s another on the horizon though and today Sold Out and Ape Tribe Games have detailed and dated their cyberpunk-y stealth-action RPG, Disjunction. It’s coming very soon too.

Due to hit Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC come January 28th 2021, Disjunction has been inspired by the tech noir classics, pushing players into a journey that works its way through the dystopian underworld of a 2048 New York.

Running sci-fi stealth action RPG lines, you’ll be left following the adventures of three of the city’s most hardened citizens as they attempt to uncover the conspiracy that is threatening to take down the entire land.

Created by Ape Tribe Games and delivered to the masses by those at Sold Out, Disjunction will see you taking charge of these three playable folk, choosing your own unique playstyle and making the most of a whole arsenal of brilliant future tech, weaponry and upgrades of the cybernetic type.

Expect to be found involving yourself in some super lethal, high octane combat should you feel the need, or alternatively utilise distraction techniques or roll with the non-lethal approach, sticking to the shadows and dodging detection.

However you play Disjunction should be able to provide players on all formats the chance to experience a story that reacts to your own actions – in fact the destiny of the city is yours to write.

“We are massive fans of classic stealth-action games and ultramodern fast-paced shooters, and have put our all into combining the two genres in Disjunction,” said Erwan LeCun, CoFounder of Ape Tribe Games. “Disjunction is our love letter to cyberpunk, and we hope that the game’s conspiracy-laden narrative and stylistic visuals will appeal to fans of the genre, while giving them the choice to engage in strategic stealth gameplay or brutally fast combat.”

“Disjunction is a fantastic title that we know will be a firm favourite for fans of sci-fi and cyberpunk,” added Vincent Coates, Product Manager at Sold Out. “We can’t wait for players to discover the cybernetic future very soon.”

We’ll be sure to remind you when that January 28th 2021 release date rolls into play and when Disjunction becomes available to play on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC. For now you can wishlist it on Steam and let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Probably well worth taking in that trailer too.
